HWITH
This project is a large new build property set in the beautiful rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. A traditional manor previously existed on the site with much of it having been dismantled in the 1920s. The new home has been designed keeping in mind the history of the previous property as well as the surrounding wild landscape.
Included in my brief is the interior design of the main home which includes 4+ bedrooms, 5+ bathrooms, living spaces, kitchen, dining, cinema, gym, utility and hallways. The design embodies a 'modern farmhouse' aesthetic including stone and wood materials, green and neutral tones, along with a mix of contemporary and traditional bronze hardware.

My role in this project is to provide interior design support as part of a larger build team which includes the support of architectural, build, electrical and plumbing teams.

"Elevated, industrial farmhouse was our concept for the design. Taking inspiration from the gorgeous rolling hills, using a palette of warm neutrals, greens, greys, browns and blues."

"The kitchen is truly the heart of this home, where family & friends can come together to cook and share stories.
Designed to provide multiple spaces for socialising that all seamlessly connect with the bold and intimate dining room.”

“A generous living space was designed to host large groups. Careful spatial planning creates three individual yet integrated seating arrangements. The charcoal stone flooring anchors the warm neutral layers of the space, acting as a backdrop to the spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.”

"The bedrooms and bathrooms envelope guests, whilst framing the views and provide a sense of luxury with the organic wood, stone and linens used.”

“We had lots of fun creating a bespoke cinema and a games room for the family and their guests to enjoy. Particular attention was given to the materiality of the cinema space to create something interesting, dramatic with a curated twist.

The top floor hosts the 'Chapel' room. Filled with light and the views across the property, this is designed as a communal space to host groups, allowing for reflection and moments of quiet.”

"The front entrance is designed as a double door entryway, helping shield from the northern weather. This allowed us to create a vestibule of colour and pattern, bringing the owners personality to their guests first impression of the home."
